Dr. Meghan Barrett is an insect neuroethologist and physiologist using an interdisciplinary lens to address big questions in insect biology.
She earned her PhD in Biology and MS in Education from Drexel University in 2022. She currently teaches Cell Biology using a mixture of lecture and active learning techniques and will be developing the university's first-ever entomology course. Her teaching is strongly influenced by the Universal Design for Learning framework. Barrett also collaborates regularly with ethicists and philosophers in her research program; she also has a significant interest in incorporating the development of ethical thinking skills into the STEM classroom.
