Amy R. Pearce, Ph.D., is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Psychology. In addition to teaching neuroscience and psychology courses, she participates in science outreach and is an experienced evaluator of STEM initiatives. Prior to joining IU Indianapolis in 2024, Dr. Pearce was the founding director of the Arkansas Science Festival, a member of the Science Festival Alliance hosted by the MIT Museum, contributed to EvalFest. She has served as faculty sponsor for the Neuroscience Club, chair of the Institutional Review Board, reviewer for the National Science Foundation, on Fulbright and medical review panels, and is a board member of Science Riot. She is an advocate for study abroad and has led student excursions to Australia, Türkiye, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Dr. Pearce graduated from Arkansas State University with a B.S. in Psychology and received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience along with a Certificate in Science Communication from The Australian National University.
