Grant A. Fore is the Assistant Director of Research and Evaluation at the STEM Education Innovation and Research Institute at IU Indianapolis (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis). Dr. Fore obtained his Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. His research primarily focuses on teaching and learning ethics through experiential pedagogies (e.g., community engagement), specifically within the contexts of engineering design and the ecological/environmental sciences. Through his scholarship, Dr. Fore hopes to promote learning opportunities for post-secondary STEM students who take seriously alternative ways of being and doing that value the ethical becoming of humans and the things they co-create through a commitment to relationality, interconnectivity, indebtedness, beauty, care, reflection, and inquiry. At SEIRI, Dr. Fore also carries out the assessment and evaluation of STEM education programming responsibilities.
